Individual Tumor and Normal Adjacent Tissue RNA
FirstChoice™ Human Tumor/Normal Adjacent Tissue
RNA pairs include 2 aliquots of 5 µg of total RNA, one isolated from
an individual tumor and the other from normal adjacent tissue (NAT)
from the same individual. Each product is derived from a single donor
and has not been pooled with other RNA, so it can be used for gene
expression analysis of a single tumor.
Finest Quality RNA
All of the FirstChoice RNAs are made using the
same high quality standards. Each step of the process has been optimized
to produce highly pure, intact RNA. To prevent RNA degradation prior
to isolation, all tumor/tissue samples are stored in RNAlater™
Tissue Collection:RNA Stabilization Solution. RNAlater quickly
permeates tissues and inactivates RNases, so that the RNA is protected
immediately upon collection of the tissue, resulting in greater yields
of intact RNA. Total RNA is then purified using proprietary techniques
that include a rigorous DNase treatment to remove genomic DNA contamination.
All Tumor/NAT RNAs are packaged in THE RNA Storage Solution at a
convenient, ready-to-use concentration of 0.5 mg/ml. Each of the
FirstChoice RNAs is tested for RNase contamination by an overnight
incubation at 37ëC followed by agarose gel electrophoresis.
