Studying miRNAs

Understanding the roles miRNAs play in cellular biology will require a basic understanding of three characteristics: (1) when and where they are expressed, (2) the genes they regulate, and (3) what cellular processes they influence. Ambion has developed products to address each of these questions.

Isolation
1560 mirVana™ miRNA Isolation Kit Isolate total RNA containing small RNAs; and/or enrich for small RNAs (<200 nt).
1556 mirVana™ PARIS Isolate protein and RNA from the same sample. Can enrich for RNA <200 nt in length.

Detection
1554 mirVana™ Probe & Marker Kit End-label small RNA probes and markers
1550 mirVana™ Probe Construction Kit In vitro transcribe radiolabeled or nonisotopically labeled RNA probes <100 nt in length.
1552 mirVana™ miRNA Detection Kit

Detect attomole (10-18 mol) amounts of target RNA by solution hybridization procedure.

Expression Profiling

Label miRNAs with amine NTPs. Compatible with Cy™3 and Cy™5.
