The MEGAclear™ Kit is designed specifically for the quick clean up of any large scale transcription reaction (e.g. MEGAscript™ or mMESSAGE mMACHINE™ reaction). MEGAclear efficiently separates RNA from unincorporated NTPs, enzymes, and buffer components.
The protocol is quick and easy. The transcription reaction is mixed with Binding Solution, passed over an RNA-binding filter, and washed. An elution step releases the purified RNA, which is now ready for any application requiring highly pure synthetic or in vitro transcribed RNA. For RNA recovery of 70% or greater, single-stranded RNA should be >100 nt and double-stranded RNA should be >200 bp.
Applications include purification prior to translation, array hybridizations, and reverse transcription of amplified RNA (aRNA) reactions for use in array hybridizations. RNA from post-labeling reactions can also be purified with MEGAclear.
